Ms. Sunata A Choyce //Bio
Ms. Choyce has worked for over 20 years in the humanitarian international field. She is currently the sole proprietor of CHOYCE Humanitarian Consulting and the Director of Project COLORS International leading programs in international aid.
She is a presenter and stakeholder in international conferences and a dedicated voice for women and girls globally who lack the opportunity to speak up for themselves.
Her educational background is in International Development and Yale’s Advanced Health Care Management program. Received the Red Cross 1st Young Humanitarian Award and worked with agencies such as the United Nations, Canada's youth leadership program Katimavick, Bethesda Children’s Home in South Africa and YMCA Settlement in Halifax.
Active mentor with youth at various children’s homes throughout the world and as well as creating and leading programs for new immigrant youth in Canada.
Ms. Choyce has motivated educational sponsorships, training and mentorship opportunities for youth all over the globe as she believes all these youth are able to become powerful agents of change.

Global Girls Agents of Change: Skill-building leadership program for newcomer youth inspiring them to become involved in the community and create meaningful holistic connections and networks to enrich their lives here in Nova Scotia.

Short term and certificate workshops: Workshops and supports helping new immigrant youth become a productive and positive part of our community as they discover their passions and how to achieve goals here in Canada. They build their resumes through volunteer efforts in the program making them more employable, assistance with scholarship applications and community connections.

Smiling Hearts Humanitarian Experience

Join us for a half-day humanitarian experience in a South African Xhosa Township. A unique opportunity to help uplift the community by helping toddlers, combined with the chance to learn from their caregivers & Canadian humanitarian aid worker.

What You’ll Do:
Under the guidance of your program director, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the make-shift shack- small informal daycares in Thembalatu. There you will learn about community aid work while participating in activities such as art, games, storytime, English, singing, and snack time. Each day is a different adventure based on the needs and schedule of the children. Your group size will be a maximum of 3 people, ensuring plenty of engagement.
Schedule – Excursions run on school days:

9:00: Meet the Program Director at your accommodation. Welcome, questions, waiver & advice

Depart: Humanitarian volunteer experience teaching toddlers in the Xhosa township of Thembalethu

Debrief and consult with your Program Director

12:00: Return to your accommodation

This experience is only offered to exclusively selected accommodations.
Your fee supports not only your experience through CHOYCE Humanitarian but also the many feeding, educational, youth mentorship and health-based humanitarian projects run through Project COLORS International.
